A killer sounding Gibson Doyle Lawson Signature Master Model owned by Ashby Frank. This was the mandolin Ashby played with Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper. It's got some history having been played on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, throughout the US and Europe. All those miles have really opened up this mandolin's tone. It's got a great "woody" chop and notes clear as a bell all the way up the neck.
I have a video on youtube to give it a listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDT8eQUaTG8
The mandolin is in fine condition with some minor surface pick scratches and fret wear. But all those hours of professional picking have improved the tone to make up for the wear.
It comes with the original hardshell leather TKL "The Gibson" case.
