Up for sale are a pair of Tucker mandolins. The first is #9. This is a 1994 F5 that was owned and played by Wayne Benson of IIIrd Tyme Out from 1995 to 2000.
Sim Daley did a complete setup at the end of last year. Sim's magic touch made the mandolin sound better and play easier than at any time since I've owned it.
I replaced the original keys with the Grover tuners that Lynn Dudenbostel helped design.
1 1/8" at the nut. Worn area about 1" under fretboard extension. Comes with a rectangular hard case. Audio file link:

The second Tucker is #16. This is a 1995 F5. It has a slightly radiused fretboard. I replaced the original tailpiece with a James tailpiece. This mandolin was also setup by Sim Daley late last year and sounds and plays wonderfully. It has a nice deep tone and great volume. 1 1/8" at the nut. Comes with a travelite case. This is a 2013 Kentucky KM950 that I bought new from The Mandolin Store in December 2013 two years ago.
This mandolin was set-up by the mandolin store and comes with original hard case in great condition. It will ship in very protective packaging for safe travels.
The mandolin sounds better than new, intonates well. Everything is in great shape with the exception of a few superficial scratches on the sound board, mostly from pinky plant. I have tried to photograph the scratches so you can see them. I have priced accordingly. You can see them in the photo link below.
The mandolin has a complex tone and is very traditional. It has opened up well and plays easily. The radiused fretboard and large frets make it an absolute joy to play.

This is a hand-carved F-style mandolin that sounds absolutely wonderful. It is made by Jiri Lebeda who is a maker from the Czech Republic but does a lot of traveling (or at least used to) at shows in the U.S.
The only reason that I unfortunately need to unload this wonderful instrument relatively quickly is due to medical bill stuff. No fault of the instrument. Thanks for your interest and for looking. The mandolin was hand-built by Jaroslav Prucha, who has hand-signed the internal label and dated it 03/10, serial number 1092.
The maker boasts "perfection in build quality, perfection in playability, perfection in tonal quality - once in a lifetime you may choose to buy a heirloom quality instrument" .. and a few days spent with this stunning mandolin is enough to convince that the claim is justified.
The highest specification of this custom mandolin includes one-piece highly-figured maple back, sides, and neck, gold tuners, and gold engraved tailpiece.
This special mandolin was built for display at the 2010 Frankfurt Music Show and, as such, is a fine example of the excellent craftsmanship of this world-class luthier.
The mandolin cost £2,248.99 (pounds sterling) in August 2010 (including Stagg hardshell case).
I want to sell because, quite frankly, I am terrified of scratching or otherwise damaging this beautiful instrument .. hence it has been played very rarely and lies asleep in its case. This clearly is a sin and I would love to find a new keeper who will play loud and proud, as Jaroslav Prucha intended.

Reluctantly I am putting my Ratliff R A-5 out here for sale.
This 97-98 vintage mandolin is in excellent plus condition with a few very light fingernail scratches evident in a few spots in the right light. Absolutely no structural issues at all. Very well cared for instrument.
Beautiful one piece maple back, triple laminate bound top and back, bound fretboard, and headstock. Beautiful spruce top. Frets in excellent plus shape. Slightly scooped fretboard extension. Color is more of a wine color than the pictures indicate. Very comfortable slight v neck profile.
A perfect example of Audey Ratliff's fine craftsmanship.
This mandolin has a fabulous sound. Perfect intonation and outstanding clarity of tone with amazing sustain. Very balanced across the strings and up the neck. Good chop and a woody pop on individual notes especially on the low and mid ranges . Good volume and mics extremely well. Very clear A & E strings.
Comes in nice hard case which is also in great condition.
